Questions & Answers
Learn More About The Care We Provide.
Usually no — check your insurance plan first.
We accept self-referred patients, but HMO and some Medicare Advantage plans require a referral from your primary care physician for coverage. Call the number on your insurance card, or call our office at 281-290-9800 and our staff can verify it for you.
Often same-day, at three convenient locations.
Unlike many specialty practices, we typically offer same-day appointments and keep flexible hours five days a week. Our offices are in Tomball, The Woodlands, and Kingwood, serving Spring, Champions, Conroe, and the greater north Houston area.
A conversation, a focused exam, urine sample.
Bring your photo ID, insurance card, medication list, and any prior labs or imaging, and arrive with a comfortably full bladder since a urine sample is part of most workups. Depending on findings, we may perform a bladder scan or order additional testing.
Yes — we treat men, women, and children.
Urology covers the kidneys, bladder, and urinary tract in every patient, including incontinence, pelvic pain, recurrent UTIs, and kidney stones in women. We also see pediatric patients for congenital conditions, urinary infections, and bedwetting.
Usually not — most elevated PSAs aren't cancer.
PSA also rises with an enlarged prostate, infection, recent ejaculation, cycling, and age, so the trend over time matters more than any single number. Next steps may include repeat testing, an MRI, or a biopsy, and many cancers we find are slow-growing enough for active surveillance rather than immediate treatment.
Minimal pain; most men resume work quickly.
Our no-scalpel technique uses a small puncture instead of an incision under local anesthetic, taking about 15–20 minutes with soreness that resolves in a few days. You are not sterile immediately — a follow-up semen analysis is required to confirm the vasectomy worked.
Hydrate and call us the same day.
Most small stones pass on their own with fluids and pain control, but we can confirm the diagnosis with imaging and offer lithotripsy or ureteroscopy when a stone is too large or obstructing. Go to an emergency room for fever, vomiting, or pain you can't control at home.
Blood in urine, pain, or abnormal PSA.
A urologist is the right call for blood in the urine, testicular lumps or pain, recurrent urinary infections, difficulty urinating, or an elevated PSA. Blood in the urine deserves evaluation even if it happens only once and goes away on its own.
