Dr. Drew A. Dylewski, MD, MS

Founding Partner & Urologist
Dr. Drew A. Dylewski — or "Dr. D," as many of his patients call him — is a Founding Partner of Texas Regional Urology and has been practicing urology since 2007. He sees patients at our The Woodlands office, treating men and women 16 and older for prostate cancer, kidney stones, prostate enlargement, and general urologic care. His clinical interests include robotic and laparoscopic surgery, and he performs in-office procedures including vasectomy, cystoscopy, Rezum, and both conventional and MRI-fusion guided prostate biopsies.

Dr. Dylewski grew up in Houston, and though his education and training took him away for years at a time, he always found his way back home. He earned his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Princeton University, his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, and completed his residency at Duke University Medical Center. He later returned to school for a Master's in Applied Biomedical Informatics from the University of Texas Health Science Center, and is board certified in Clinical Informatics — the intersection of clinical care, data, and information technology — in addition to his certifications from the American Board of Urology and the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He holds active medical licenses in Texas and North Carolina.

Before founding Texas Regional Urology in 2012, Dr. Dylewski practiced urology in the Houston area. Alongside his clinical work, he holds hospital privileges at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, and HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball, and serves as a Governing Board Member of Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, The Woodlands. He is a member of the Health Sector Coordinating Council's AI Cybersecurity Task Force and sits on the Scientific Advisory Board of Aurie, Inc.

Drawn to science from an early age, Dr. Dylewski found his calling in solving problems rather than benchtop research — a pull that led him to urology, a specialty he describes as a rewarding mix of major cancer surgery and flexible, ambulatory care. He brings a strong background in software development and data engineering to his practice, and looks for ways technology can improve patient outcomes and the way care is delivered.

Fluent in English and Spanish, and working on his Portuguese ("suficiente," he'll tell you), Dr. Dylewski lives in The Woodlands. Outside of work, he's an avid runner, enjoys video games and software development, and loves to travel, learn new languages, and try unusual foods wherever he goes.

"I am very frank, straightforward, and sometimes a little blunt. But I will always do my best to lead you down the right path."
