The Difference

Why Choose Texas Regional Urology?

Choosing a urologist usually happens at an inconvenient moment — an abnormal test result, a symptom you've been ignoring, a referral you didn't expect. What follows is what we think matters when you're making that choice, and what we've built this practice to do well.

Why Choose Texas Regional Urology

Choosing a urologist usually happens at an inconvenient moment — an abnormal test result, a symptom you've been ignoring, a referral you didn't expect. What follows is what we think matters when you're making that choice, and what we've built this practice to do well.
Care Close to Home

Specialist Expertise Without the Drive Downtown

Houston has world-class medicine concentrated in the Texas Medical Center, and getting there from Tomball or Kingwood can cost most of a day between traffic, parking, and the appointment itself.

Our physicians trained in that world — Baylor, Harvard, Duke, MD Anderson — and chose to practice in the communities their patients live in. Three offices in Tomball, The Woodlands, and Kingwood, each directly across from a hospital, each offering the full range of evaluation and in-office procedures. The expertise is the same. The commute isn't.
Seen Quickly

Fast Appointments

Most specialty practices book weeks out. A kidney stone doesn't wait weeks, and neither does the anxiety of an elevated PSA result sitting in your inbox.
Experience That Stays Put

The Same Physicians, Year After Year

Our urologists are board certified by the American Board of Urology, with training from Baylor College of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Duke University Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Center.

More telling than where they trained is how long they've stayed. Our physicians have been practicing here since 1993, 2003, 2004, and 2007. In a market where specialty groups get acquired, consolidated, and rebuilt every few years, that continuity means the urologist who treats you this year is likely to be the one who treats you in a decade — and the one who notices when something has changed.
One Physician, Start to Finish

You Won't Be Handed Off

The urologist who evaluates you is the one who performs your procedure, reviews your pathology, and tracks your results for years afterward.

That matters more than it sounds. A surgeon meeting you for the first time on the day of your operation has only your chart. A physician who has followed you knows what your baseline looks like, which is what makes a change recognizable.
Answers in One Visit

Diagnostics On Site

Urinalysis and bladder scans are performed in our offices. Additional testing is scheduled once your insurance has verified coverage.

Practically, that means many patients leave their initial visit with a working diagnosis and a plan rather than a referral to a testing facility and a second appointment two weeks later. For a symptom you've been worrying about, the difference between one visit and three is not a small thing.
The Full Range

From Watchful Monitoring to Robotic Surgery

We offer the complete spectrum of urologic care, which means we can recommend the treatment that fits rather than the treatment we happen to provide.

For prostate cancer, that includes active surveillance for men whose cancer is better monitored than treated, and da Vinci robotic prostatectomy for those who need surgery. For enlarged prostate, everything from medication to UroLift and Rezum through TURP. For kidney stones, lithotripsy, ureteroscopy, and prevention planning. For prostate biopsy, MRI fusion targeting and the transperineal approach, which avoids the rectum entirely and substantially lowers infection risk — an approach many practices in this market still don't offer.

The point of carrying the full range is being able to tell you honestly when the answer is not yet or not at all.
Care for Everyone

Men, Women, and Children

Urology is widely assumed to be a men's specialty, and that assumption keeps women from seeking help for problems we treat every day — incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections, pelvic pain, kidney stones.

We care for adult and pediatric patients of both sexes, and several of our providers practice in both English and Spanish.
